Hi there,
I never wanted to design websites. When my partner Lynn and I had a site designed for us by a friend in 2005, I had expressed an interest in learning how to change and upload text, primarily for our Calendar of Events page, so the web designer began teaching me how to navigate the web design software she was using at the time. I learned just enough to be dangerous. Two years later my partner embarked on a new career, and she asked me to take a chance in designing a simple site for her. By this time I was pretty used to playing around in Dreamweaver, the software our web mistress used. So, I dove in and tried my hand at it. It, my first site, turned out pretty well. So well in fact, that my partner's clients began to rave about its beauty and simplicity. I was appalled...perhaps I might be good at this after all.
As they say, one thing led to another, and soon friends of ours wanted their own site too. This started to annoy me. But I soldiered on, and now I am almost (gulp!) doing this for a living. Correction, it is one of my many artistic talents channeled into the visual Internet format. Sigh.
I designed the site your reading this on. I've designed a bunch more. I'm also getting really chuffed about how I envision a site for someone and their profession or product. That's it really; vision and a flair for the artistic. Oh, did I mention I was an art major in high school and attended one of the top art colleges in the United States? No? Well, I did, and it shows a bit. I majored in 2D Design and Photography. I didn't stick with it, and quit to become a rock and blues lead guitarist. That didn't pan out quite as well as I had hoped. Oh well...
So, to view some of the sites I've created, and to get an idea of how I work and what my fees are, proceed to the next page...here.
